The Bulls
For the second straight year, the Bulls have won the 6A State Championship, as they defeated the Bobcats 31-0. Despite all the talk, the Bulls proved why they are the best 6A team in the state, as they made it look easy. "The goal every year we tell our kids is that you can't take moments like this for granted. However many teams there are in 6A or are in Florida, they shoot out with one goal every year to be the last team standing and that's what we did tonight. I am proud of everyone and the senior class that has accomplished so much," said head coach Dylan Potts. West Boca's championship marked the first time a team from Palm Beach County has repeated as champions since Glades Day in 2010.
Key Players
Senior running back and Miami commit Javian Mallory and quarterback Trey Moran dominated on the ground for the Bulls. Mallory finished with 117 yards rushing and three rushing touchdowns, and Moran finished with 133 rushing yards. West Boca's defense dominated the Bobcats' offensive line. The Bulls had five sacks of quarterback Brandon Mincy, and they held the Bobcats to 45 rush yards. West Boca Raton forced two fumbles, and senior safety Tray Mitchell returned one 61 yards for a touchdown. "We came in January working for this moment waiting to go back-to-back and look where we are at now. I'm just blessed god put me in the situation I'm at right now," said Javian Mallory. Mallory earned MVP honors with his stellar performance.
West Bocas' Future
For the upcoming 2026-2027 FHSAA football cycle, West Boca is dropping down from Class 6A to Class 5A, joining tougher regions with powerhouse teams like St. Thomas Aquinas, a shift from their recent success in Class 6A, while the FHSAA consolidates classifications. With the star-studded class of 2026 leaving West Boca, it will be interesting to see what the Bulls future will be from here.
West Browards' Future
The West Broward Bobcats football program has a bright future, marked by a historic first-ever trip to the 6A State Championship, showcasing a big rise under Coach Brian McCartney and fueled developing stars like 2028 athlete A'mir Sears.
